Yikes, this reply brought memories of my childhood. This method of kill box you've posted was used as a behavior modification method in my family. If one was out of line in anyway the parent would lock us in our bedroom for a period of time, sometimes up to a month, no TV, friends, telephone calls, nothing but the four walls and a small window. Dinner was shoved through the door and bathroom breaks were regulated. In my mind it was a terribly narcissistic form of punishment. This punishment only worked for a couple of years till I ran away at 13 years old never to return. Unfortunately running away will be much more difficult in the digital surveillance state we are now entering. Thanks for the input!
