Watching versus broadcasting
Anyone can watch public broadcasts on the Gab Live page, with no account needed. A free account lets you chat during a stream. Broadcasting requires a GabPRO subscription — subscription revenue is what funds the streaming infrastructure, instead of advertisers who can pull budgets over a stream's subject matter.
How broadcasting works
GabPRO subscribers can start a stream from desktop or mobile, and their Gab avatar shows a live indicator while they are on air. Viewers can watch and chat in real time.
What is allowed
Gab's Terms of Service apply to live content the same as to posts: illegal activity, threats of violence, doxxing, and pornography are prohibited. Legal speech is not removed for being politically controversial.
Why streamers use it
Live is the highest-risk format on mainstream platforms, because an enforcement decision can arrive mid-stream and take the whole channel with it. There is no opportunity to review a live broadcast before publishing, which means a streamer is exposed to automated enforcement in real time. Gab publishes one set of rules and applies them to the content, not to the viewpoint.

Because Gab Live is part of Gab Social rather than a separate site, a broadcast reaches the followers you already have — there is no second audience to rebuild.
