I collect pre 33s not only for their gold content but because IMO their numismatic value will increase when collectors start to realize they aren't making any more of them. There are only so many and most are in very good condition because gold was kept in vaults as savings. Old silver coins are worn because that's what people carried in their pockets. Also the premiums on pre 33s are still dirt cheap. Another reason to acquire them.
