Billie Eilish is giving us another perfect example of the modern celebrity socialist act. They love to lecture America about how awful capitalism is, how greedy the system is, how unfair everything is, and how the rest of us should feel guilty for participating in the economy that feeds our families. Then, somehow, the very same people always find time to launch another product. In this case, Eilish can rage against capitalism all she wants, but she also just came out with a new perfume reportedly priced around $90. She is not doing that as a public service. She intends to profit from it. If capitalism is so evil, why are celebrity leftists always so eager to use it? Why sell perfume? Why sell merch? Why sell tickets? Why sign brand deals? Why build a fortune inside the very system you claim is immoral? The answer is simple, because socialism for celebrities never really means they give up their own wealth. It usually means they want control, praise, influence, and money for themselves, while lecturing ordinary Americans about wanting a decent life, a small business, a better paycheck, or a little financial security. Socialists always seem to want riches for themselves, but not for the common man or woman. The waitress, the plumber, the truck driver, the small business owner, the retiree trying to protect savings from inflation, those people are told they are selfish for wanting more. But when a celebrity worth millions sells a luxury product, suddenly it is art, empowerment, branding, or activism. No. It is capitalism.
