Mega post incoming (1/3): Thoughts on the 1st & 2nd Amendments, white privilege, reverse racism, religion, Islam, God, America, the border wall, Donald Trump, Trans issues, feminism, and socialism. So the other day I made an intro post where I listed all the most irrelevant shit i could think of about my skin color, DNA, parental origins, where / how I was raised, etc. Yes, I was attempting to push your buttons. I wanted to know how you’d react. Light hearted trolling. Through that post I was able to coax a few toxic people out in the open where I could mute them. The vast majority though, said, “Don’t care about your skin color or DNA - what do you believe!” So, here are some of my beliefs: 1ST AMENDMENT I’m a free speech extremist. That old Voltaire quote, “I may disagree with what you have to say but I’d fight to the death for your right to say it.” That’s what I believe. As I’ve stated before, I’d fight for the person who peacefully calls me nigger against those who would have him silenced. I like the current US stipulations differentiating free speech from things like “inciting violence” so I’m using the legal definition of free speech. If someone came at me psychically, screaming “I’m gonna kill you nigger” - well then you’d best believe I’m gonna defend myself in that case. Which leads to my next belief. 2ND AMENDMENT I grew up with guns & learning gun safety from a young age. I’m absolutely pro 2nd amendment. It terrifies me what’s happening in New Zealand (Australia too, i think). Last resort protection against a tyrannical government, isn’t that one of the reasons listed in the bill of rights? Not to mention I’d feel a lot safer if more citizens were armed and trained, rather than us having to rely on police at all times. I heard an idea once that stuck with me: Placing a retired, armed veteran at every school in America. Hopefully solving the school shooting problem as well as the unemployed veteran problem. Not smart enough to know if that’s a good idea or not, but it seems to make sense. WHITE PRIVILEGE A thing of the past. Institutional white privilege no longer exists, it’s institutional racism against whites now. I’ve never seen so much blatant, unabashed racism against any skin color across various media networks & corporate platforms. It’s gone too far, and it scares the fuck out of me even as a brown man. I think we have institutional minority privilege now. If you’re brown, gay, trans, female - the institutions support your rights the most. You can “get away with” speaking freely and are even encouraged to do so offensively, without repercussion. Speaking of which... REVERSE RACISM What a dumb term. I only heard somewhat recently that some people think it’s impossible to be racist against white people. I thought it was a joke until an educated lawyer told me with a straight face, “it’s impossible.” Bullshit. Racism is racism. (continued in comments)
