Murals memorializing “Professor” Jason Arday were erected at the Notting Hill Carnival over the weekend, featuring testimonials from former students as to his supposed grace and integrity. It would be in no way shocking (and in many respects, entirely fitting) if these had simply been plagiarised from portraits of George Floyd left over from previous years’ celebrations.
