A couple of weeks ago, after an intruder jumped our property fence, I said I wasn't leaving my house without my shotgun ever again!! I go out twice a day to pasture our livestock. I'm here alone during the day. So, the other day while I was doing pasture duty up on the foothill, I see a young guy in all black, rock hopping down the gully west of our property, going towards the neighbor property. I'm thinking **he doesn't look like any of their kids**....and besides, they ride dirt bikes, they wouldn't be running anywhere...right? Sure enough, the guy hops the fence and runs to the neighbors houses and cars!! I call honey-do to tell him to call the neighbor, that some guy is on his property running around his cars!! Then I see another guy, but now they're behind bushes, so I yelled out at them *WHAT THE PHK ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE* and I shot a warning shot at the ground, driving my ev golf cart over to the fence like a rabid banshee, yelling again!! One guy yells back *fed* and I can see both of them now. I'm thinking, *fed* , what the phk does that mean? I see the 2nd guy putting those tie-wraps on the wrists behind the back of the 1st guy. The 2nd guy was wearing wrap-around body armor. (Border patrol says *border patrol* , not *fed*!!) I pipe down a little, and he's telling me (while still grappling with the 1st guy) *we're chasing a couple illegals up there*, then talks into his shoulder walkie talkie, and within a couple minutes a border patrol truck pulls up to the neighbors gate. One BP got out of the truck and they put the illegal in the back, tying him in. The *fed* guy says to the BP guy *that old lady scared the shit out of me, she shot her shotgun* I yelled back **THAT WAS A WARNING SHOT...YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUTTA ME** I told the BP guy they should let those illegals know we got guns out here and we SHOOT at intruders!! BP walks and leans over to me and says *yes ma'am, you have a right to defend yourself and your property*, gets into the truck and they drive away. I'M NOT LEAVING THE HOUSE WITHOUT MY SHOTGUN ...and I'm thinking of putting my 38 in my pocket too 🤠 (anyone want a ranch job? housing included)
