Feel compelled to do a giant "Ode to Bees!" post. So here we go...... 1. Perfect bee shot! Pondhawk Natural Area, Boca Raton. 2. Honeybee in motion - Pondhawk Natural Area, Boca Raton. 3. Bumblebee in a cactus flower. :) El Rio Trail, Boca Raton. Was biking on the trail when I saw that some of the random cactuses that line a portion of the trail were in full bloom. Stopped to get some shots, and while taking pics I felt a "nudge" to look into the flowers in front of me to see if there were any critters inside. Sure enough, there was this bee..... 4. Giant bees nest! Pondhawk Natural Area, Boca Raton. This is the backside view. At least two of these pics I've posted before separately way back when I first started on Gab, but a lot of people may not have seen them, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to repost them. Also keep in mind.......any individual bee pics taken at Pondhawk Natural Area most likely were part of the massive hive featured in pic #4.
