Totally random topic, as always. (No, there IS no rhyme or reason to my Gab. π) But astrologically speaking, we're now fully "In Scorpio," in terms of where the sun lies in the sky in relation to the constellations. Well, at least where things USED to be, because of the whole "precession of the equinoxes" thing. It's always interesting to me that despite the sky shifting over the eons people are still holding onto the old astrological patterns. How do I know this is the case? Because I've been able to accurately pinpoint more than one person's sun sign over the years. And down to people's moon signs as well, in multiple instances. Skeptics love to slag off astrology, but I say matter-of-factly, Well, if there's absolutely no validity to it then how do we explain this? How can a person repeatedly guess what time of the year somebody was born? Let alone where the hell the moon was wandering around on that day? O.o The whole "precession of the equinoxes" thing has some big implications though, in terms of what this place really is and how it's actually operating. Because apparently it really isn't about the position of those constellations, as we're taught. Or.....maybe it once was. But maybe we're living in a permanent "snap shot" of sorts, that's taking the imprint of what once was, and applying it to our current situation? I'm a Scorpio I'll start off saying straight out the gate. It's something that in the real world I don't even like admitting to if people ask "omgggggg!!! when is your birthday?!" I always know the reason they're asking, so in typical Scorpio fashion I've been known to respond with "Guess." ;) But such is the reputation that precedes us that I don't offer it up voluntarily and I'm not proud should I have to admit to it. And for good reason in many instances. I've always been flattered when people who know astrology truly "couldn't see it" with me, and were shocked. Yay!! I've been able to accurately peg various celebs or people I'm reading about in non-fiction books as being Scorpio right away due to their behavior. It's not just mere bad behavior. It's DIABOLICAL. O.o And it gives them away immediately. The highest levels of abuse of power and authority, control, blackmail and exploitation; narcissism and egomania; physical, verbal and emotional abuse; obsession, and even stalking; Extreme vice abuse - drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, you name it; sexual debauchery and depravity that seems to have no limits in many cases; criminal masterminding, plotting and scheming; and vindictive revenge the likes of which most people have never experienced....until trying to fuck over a Scorpio and finding out the hard way. Related to that is the infamous "Scorpio stinger," and the way in which their words will go for the jugular, cutting you down to the core of your being and leaving people shook. And of course in general, many Scorpios' fascination with all things death related, and the paranormal and occult. But when taken to its extremes can lead to VERY dark places. I've met more than one person who was still traumatized by a Scorpio years after the fact. And even if a Scorpio isn't going the full blown socio/psychopathic route their energy can still be extremely intense, because at the core its motivated by extreme emotional sensitivity. Feeling EVERYTHING too much, the bad and the good. TOO intense, just "too TOO much" as I've described it. I've met those ones too. Even those with "just" Scorpio moons can be too much to deal with. Both my dad and brother had Scorpio moons. It wasn't pretty. Both of them were life ruiners for multiple people who crossed their paths. Interestingly enough though Scorpio is also the only sign represented by more than one symbol. The Scorpion, Eagle and the Phoenix. Because a fully souled/spirited body should have the ability and desire to try to transcend this terrible base energy that they've often been imprinted with, and which gives them impulses that need to be handled, from revenge that always takes it too far, to addictions, to the need for control and power. Starting as the scorpion, which is self explanatory, then becoming the eagle, that soars above it, learning and evolving, becoming wise and balanced. Then finally the Phoenix. Total rebirth and transformation. So hey.....there is that. π When a Scorpio transcends things and is acting in a balanced way then their good traits include undying "ride or die" loyalty, determination, perseverance, the natural ability to lead, getting shit done, tapping fully into the spectrum of feelings and empathy, and being a good listener and counselor. Because they get it. They understand and they want to help. This is why they can make good writers as well. They're not afraid to plumb the depths, you could say. And then the good form of theatrics, in terms of making a good actor/tress, stand up comedian or performer in general. (CONTINUED ππ)
