An interesting vid that I came across this week: "I Asked Ages 1-100 Their Biggest Regret" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52tZTTMFzfA Some food for thought about whether you have regrets, and if so what are they, and why. Years ago I read or heard somewhere that most people's biggest regrets center on the things they didn't do, rather than the things they did. That stuck with me, and influenced how I went about my life. I also personally met people along the way when I was younger who were steeped in regrets for the things they didn't do, the opportunities they let slip through their fingers. So when faced with doing things that may have been outside my comfort zone, or where I might risk failure, I went for it anyway, gung-ho, always thinking (or verbalizing outloud) that I don't want to get to the end of the line and look back and regret that I didn't go for it, whatever it was, then become mired in "what if??" What If sucks, because there's absolutely nothing you can do to find out whether it would have worked out. It's too late. At least if you go for it you'll know, and there won't be any what if's awaiting you at the end. If it doesn't work out, so be it. But for all you know it will.....and be an amazing success. One of the biggest "fork in the road" moments for me with regards to my life path was with @HiddenDimension. He reached out to me in 2014 via email, introduced himself, and basically told me that he was going to have me on his radio show, and he'd like to talk about such-and-such, and gave me the date and time. Just prior to him reaching out to me I was telling Tom about how you know what, I'm ready to do some interviews, and I would really like to do that. I'm ready now! I think I would be really good at it! And I outlined what my ideal topics would be to talk about - Negs and interference - stuff that I know like the back of my hand and could speak with enthusiasm and conviction about, really feeling how I WANT to do this now. Then right after, boom, Geoff's email landed in my inbox. Not asking me if I would go on his show. But telling me I would......but nicely. But assuredly......though respectfully. O.o And it was actually THE perfect approach for what I would respond to, so much so that I kind of laugh about it in retrospect. Like if you were to custom design the perfect approach that would work for my particular psychology/personality....that would be it. Figures he's a Scorpio like me. ;) Takes a Scorpio to successfully approach another Scorpio. And next thing you know I was doing my first ever interview in life. And while it wasn't about the topics I outlined to Tom, that one interview led to doing at least three more over the years on Geoff's show...and getting to have that devoted show to Negs and interference. :) Once I warmed up and practiced on Geoff's show it gave me the courage to accept the invite to do at least two Rise Roundtable panels that came my way shortly thereafter in 2014, along with Tom. Something I would never have said yes to had I not done Geoff's show first. I definitely hesitated/debated to myself about doing Rise, because we were going to be on camera, and I have a huge problem with that. The biggest issue being the potential trolls. But once again I thought about getting to the end of the line and looking back and imagining that I'd said no......due to potential what-if fears..........over trolls who don't matter. And for all I know the negative what-if scenarios won't even happen, and meanwhile I would have held myself back, i.e.....extinguished my flame......for nothing. Rise roundtable here I come......! That eventually led to Tom and I doing two other roundtables outside of Rise with Eve Lorgen, James Bartley, Bernhard Gunther and Lauda Leon, which were BEYOND awesome. And then me doing those other interviews w/ Geoff, and later on with other people besides him. So it just built up and up. And guess what regrets I won't have at the end of the line? ;) It was the best decision of my life taking that leap back in 2014. Have there been trolls? Absolutely, because there always are. Though it wasn't even close to the level of what I initially feared all those years ago. (My fave is still the guy who accused Tom and I of being Reptilian shapeshifters after one of our roundtables with Evie, James, Bernard and Lauda. 🤣 ) Do I regret going down the path of doing interviews/roundtables because of that handful of idiots? HELL no. Can't even imagine. One of the best answers IMO in the above linked regrets vid is at 02:30. "I don't think I have one 'cause I learned from everything that I went through, and after the dust settles and you reflect you're like it's important that I went through that." Overall in the vid, the "I have no regrets" people aside, it seems that more people had regrets about the things they didn't do than did.....exactly what I'm talking about.
