Really-existing socialism has always been about fostering an ”All for one, and one for all!” spirit that will revive a decadent country. They have no national project, see no tradition they want to be the next step in. The DSA platform is open grifting, to take from the nation‘s common good and give to those who love it least, raising the shameful and shaming the honorable. It‘s ”Every man for himself!”, individualism as pulling oneself up by his list of grievances. There is now a voice for real socialism in North America: the American Communist Party, which split from the woke CPUSA. Its “MAGA Communism” platform is more pro-country, pro-nation, and pro-family than what most Republicans want.
