#CreweFirst says,"Labour run Cheshire East are having a laugh. Less than 1% of fly tipping cases result in a fine. So increasing fines will have totally no impact at all on reducing the growing epidemic of fly tipping. Over 4000 cases a year in Cheshire East and an unbelievable 80% of those in Crewe !!! For years #CreweFirst have been outlining what needs to be done but #CheshireEast do nothing :- 1) CCTV in the fly tipping hotspots. 2) Trial free skips in the hot spots. 3) Scrap all domestic waste charges at the Council Tip. 4) Get local supermarkets to fit anti-theft GPS/wheel-lock systems on their trollies so they can't be taken away from the store and dumped. 5) Jail time for a second fly tip offence. 6) Seize the vehicles of fly tippers and ban them from driving. 7) Get retailers of bulky goods, like matresses, tvs, white goods, furniture etc to dispose of the old articles that have been replaced.
