AppImage, Flatpak, Snap or they all suck? I've found the cold starts on AppImages to be unacceptable lately. I used to love Flatpaks when I ran Fedora GNOME, but since moving to Tumbleweed KDE last year I can't get most of them to look right.. And Snaps are kind of creepy. I wish there was a way to set PWAs as default apps, but there isn't - so that limits the use case there for me. I can get most of what I need through distro packages or OBS or compiling myself, so I guess I'm just ranting about a problem I don't have.
