The founder of Splinterlands, aggroed, asked if we'd like to post a little story about our journies within the game and how it has impacted our lives. I know that I dont only speak for myself when I say this, but it has impacted my life tremendously! I went from really having to figure out my future, where I was going to work, what I was going to do, to not having to worry so much about that now. For those who aren't aware of what Splinterlands is, let me catch you up to speed. Splinterlands is a play to earn, card battler game, built on the HIVE blockchain. Its on the HIVE blockchain, so it has fast transactions and no transaction fee. You play and can earn DEC, Dark Energy Crystals, which is a cryptocurrency, you can exchange on tron trade, hive engine, a few others, and swapped at many LPs. So you earn this, but you also earn reward chest(s) for completing the daily quest, which can contain potions, DEC, cards, or even a gold foil legendary cards, which is ultra rare, but you can get it too. Not only that, but they just released their SPS airdrop, which is their new governance token and you can earn some everyday for the next almost 11 months on the airdrop. Also there is SPS staking that you can earn a residual on it. All I'm getting at is that there are several ways you can earn in Splinterlands. For me personally, I'm staking, getting the airdrop, renting out my cards (oh yeah, thats another thing, you can rent out your cards for additional income), and playing the game to earn. Needless to say, I don't have to worry so much about my future because I could sell my cards now and get a house if I wanted to. I can sell my land and do the same. I was pretty weary to get land because it was all speculation, but the land I bought was aprox. 1200 dollar and now it is worth 50k, so yeah, I could sell that and buy a house.
