In Exodus 38:8, it says that Bezalel "made the laver of bronze and its base of bronze, from the bronze mirrors of the serving women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting." In family devotions recently, I pointed out that by giving up their mirrors where were made of this highly polished bronze, the women were choosing purity over vanity. Now, 3500 years later, the need is still the same. For godly women, there is never a real conflict over making this choice. All that matters in eternity is your purity, not your fading external beauty. Maybe it's time to ask God, "What is something practical I can give up or give away to display my choice and the attitude of my heart?
