Thanks to those Beautiful "White Privilege" men! - Connecting two points of land together, the Koocanusa Bridge ties Montana to Canada near the town of Libby, Montana, and spans Lake Koocanusa. Workers in this photo helped to construct the bridge which is the tallest and longest bridge in Montana at 2,437 feet long and 270 feet high. It provides access to the Amish community on the west side and the Yaak Valley in the northwest portion of the forest. Fun fact: The name Koocanusa came from Alice Beers of Rexford, Montana, who won a naming contest. The name uses the first three letters of the Kootenay River, Canada, and USA.
