This John Stossel video features Ayn Rand's effective advocacy for rightful liberty through her fictional novels. I love Ayn Rand about politics specifically, but I worry about her attempts to sever libertarianism from its Christian roots in order to reintegrate it with a more self-centered ethical system known as Objectivism. To me, Objectivism is innately self-contradictory---in the absence of commonplace virtue, widespread freedom can't endure indefinitely. Freedom allows genuine virtue to occur, and genuine virtue is conducive to establishing freedom---and, moreover, freedom is a vital part of virtue, as virtue should include respect for everyone's equal God-given (or natural) rights.
