I had heard good things about this book since I follow D.L. MacArthur on a couple prominent social media sites, and I wanted to not only enjoy a short story, but to also support the author as well. Little did I realize that such profound truths could be found in something as simple as a children's story. While the plot is straightforward and entertaining, highlighting historical details, the allegory infused within the context of the story made this book even more valuable and important. I would highly recommend this book for any parent or child who knows in their heart that something is amiss in today's society, and which has been going on for quite a long time. We need to teach our children, and adults too, to avoid "dangerous places." As the story states: "Watch out! You can't trust the snakes because they can strike us suddenly at any moment." 👌
