The concept of "hate speech" and hate crime laws are partly to blame for the cultural climate that led to Charlie Kirk's assassination. We now have groups of people who think any criticism of them is "hate," and feel justified in retaliating with violence. When you have any group who thinks their behaviors are above reproach, you have a problem on your hands.
