Has anyone had the experience of sitting before a person that is delusional and you are their target? And you just let them talk? And eventually you get the entire picture of their mental world, time lines and all that help one to make sense of the descent into their delusional world and how you unwittingly got them there just by being completely honest? Liars will use your honesty because they cannot comprehend anyone being that honest. The term "give enough rope" is a gem of wisdom. But be prepared to be accused of everything they are responsible for.
