So I debated trying to grow a ton of corn for next winters chicken, goat and cattle feed. I opted for Sunflowers. I feel they'll do better with water and the environment, plus they produce well and are very easy to dry and store. I figure I'll dry them, then dust them with a pinch of Diatomacious Earth and Iodized Salt to fight bacteria/fungi/caking. Then seal it in 5gal buckets. Any thoughts or warnings? That will not be my only feed, and I know ruminants can only have a little.
