https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1916_United_States_presidential_election_in_California Wilson won the presidency by 1887 votes. Imagine if he lost California and Hughes won! Perhaps no WWI. Probably no WWII. Certainly no 21st century collapse into Negrostan.
