What Nayib Bukele is doing down in El Salvador is simply extraordinary. In the course of a single year, the murder rate in El Salvador went from the highest in the world to lower than Canada's. The trick? Lock up the criminals. Separate them from the population. Most crime is committed by a relatively small percent of the population.
