I respect men who go their own way. They march to their own drummer, shun group consensus and pave their own way in an independent life. More power to them. It is perplexing to me, however, when I see men who claim to be going their own way seek group identity and push litmus tests on others. Seems to me this particular subset of men “going their own way” are actually insecure men going the way of others, trying for club membership in order to feel secure about their place in the world. These are the same clowns who imagine a great MRA/MGTOW divide that confirms their own shaky identity and makes them feel better about themselves. I would not give a plug nickel for the “independence” of any of them.
