This is kind of running all over the place, and it's not the smoking gun people think it is. The contracts went to Thompson Reuters, which is a massive conglomerate that owns Reuters news service, and a ton of other services. The parent company has provided general business services to the federal government for many years. The contracts (which are public record) were mostly for general government services (such as accounting). That neither indicates nor excludes any possible "under the table" quid pro quo, of course. Short answer, these are normal contracts and Trump's first administration paid roughly the same amount for similar contracts. That does not mean there wasn't clear bias against Musk's companies. There definitely was and is bias, but the Biden administration didn't need to pay off media for lapdog service, the legacy media has been basically licking the democrats' boots for more than 30 years at this point.
