To all the helpful people who said I should be happy to have snake which visited me yesterday and peeked through the window. This evening, while collecting eggs, I ran across another, very large chicken snake in the nesting boxes. He was not more scared of me than I am of him. A kind neighbor and his entire family came over to remove this snake, which was extremely aggressive. They got it out of the box, but it was so strong it escaped 3 grown men. I understand that snakes serve a purpose, but they need to stay off the porch and out of the hen house. Now, I have to worry about this snake every time I collect eggs.
