My chicken chicks that I hatched this year, are now out with the old hens, whose end is near. While laying they do not yet be, I suspect nearer winter that I will see. The old keep away, cept the rooster, for in his view, some of the young ladies are pretty too. But to get them to go to bed on time, seems to be a chore, so much so that they don't want to be handled (snuggled😉) by me anymore. what is the easiest way that does be, to get them to go to bed, before the raccoons come looking ... hungrily. Of small wild animals this place seems to be, almost a sanctuary.
