They also contained 37%,33% and 46% 18060T. Interestingly, one of them (SRR13441708) also have 1 spot of 29095T (out of 37 spots with a match to at least one end of the read. Rest of them were 29095C.). https://archive.md/A6cKN This indicate that not only did these VERO E6-CHO cell cultured sequences of high passage SARS-CoV-2 contain the most ancestral strains of SARS-CoV-2 not found in China, but they also contained substantial fractions of both A, C/C, B and traces of T/T intermediate genomes. All it takes for 1 lab leak to beget 2 lineages (one discovered later than the other due to symptoms and transmission dynamics) is to have a culture in VERO E6-CHO fusion cells which permits and allow the formation and persistence of several lineages together—such as the conversion of 8782/28144 T/C to 8782/28144 C/T; as the lack of an immune system allows all kinds of variants to freely form and achieve substantial quasispecies fraction within the same culture, without any of them each reaching fixation individually. https://archive.vn/Nfu5p A single infection from this cell culture would create a patient zero with both A,B and WA1, which then separate from each other due to transmission bottleneck, and creating A, B and possibly WA1 all in the same single escape event. No need for “two spillovers” because we just found an early sample with both lineages in the same sample. And it was NOT a market sample or a sample associated with any wild animals. http://adeno-news.com/2022/08/09/unique-sars-cov-2-genomes-found-in-antarctic-samples-raises-questions-about-sars-cov-2-origin-lineages/
