"Our God-Given Natural Rights Enumerated in the Constitution" KrisAnne Hall admonished me the other day regarding the language we use when referencing our state and federal constitutions. We should not call them "constitutional rights," because that gives the misimpression that our rights flow from the constitutions. Instead, we should call them, "Our God-Given Natural Rights Enumerated in the Constitution." I agree, and am working on my language. I see our rights as responsibilities. Each one of us has the sacred duty to promote and defend our liberty. Life is a gift; freedom is a responsibility.
