To those affected by the devastating fires in Los Angeles, Lynn and myself have said prayers and my heart goes out to you. While we are here in North Carolina, attending our local Church last night, I have been deeply moved by the reports of the incredible work the Salvation Army is doing to assist those in need. From providing shelter and food to opening their Corps church buildings and other facilities, they are truly a beacon of hope during this difficult time. To everyone who is hurting, displaced, or facing loss, please know that you are not alone. There are hands ready to help, hearts ready to listen, and prayers being lifted up for you across the nation. A special prayer goes out to the first responders, volunteers, and organizations on the ground. Your selflessness and courage shine brightly in the midst of darkness. You embody the love and compassion of Christ in every act of service. To all those assisting, I want to share a scripture to encourage you: "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." – Galatians 6:9 May this verse remind you that your efforts, no matter how small they may feel, are making a difference. You are planting seeds of hope and healing. Let us continue to pray for strength, healing, and protection for everyone impacted. Together, with faith and compassion, we will overcome.
