Testing GAB's free speech promise again: Actual conversation at GOP Booth... Local PD: "Nice AR-15 pistol." Me: "Yes, it is. You should sign this petition making our county a sanctuary for gun rights." Local PD: "Why, though? Doesn't MT have good gun laws?" Me: "Yes. But the 'Supremacy Clause' of the U.S. Constitution might create a crisis where federal rules supercede that of state laws and we need protection at the county-level." Local PD: "Why is that?" Me: "Because you, as local PD, don't want to come try to confiscate my weapon just because the feds ask." Local PD: "Why is that, exactly?" Me: [looking him straight in the eye], "Because if you try to confiscate my gun, I will kill you. And that would be a shame." Local PD: [Thinks for a moment, then nods] "That makes sense." [signs petition] ______ Let's be honest about what's at stake here, folks. Gun control is a Declaration of War.
