The reason U.S. Intelligence was so off-guard on the Taliban Tet Offensive is that they are putting their time and resources into eavesdropping, collecting, and permanently storing every email, text, and phone call* made by *all* U.S. Citizens (it is stored in the Utah Data Center near Bluffdale, Utah) on hundred of thousands of servers designed to holds untold exabytes (one quintillion bytes, or one billion gigabytes, by comparison).* Let me reiterate: Every email. Every phone call. Every text...of every American. The Taliban has not been the enemy of the U.S. Government since well before Snowden's heroic expose'. Their enemy has been the U.S. People. They are not focused on the Taliban. They do not care about China. They do not care about Russia. They do not care about North Korea. They are focused on you. The Taliban is not the enemy. We are. * This is not a conspiracy theory. This is congressional testimony and public record. And on top of that, both Republicans and Democrats on the federal level have proposed legislation to force companies that use encryption (IE Signal, Proton Mail, etc) to give the U.S. government encryption codes to ALL communications. The "Intelligence Community Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative Data Center" consists of over a million square feet and costs over 1.5 billion dollars to build, all of it to track and surveil YOU without any warrant or due process guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
