But Front-Of-Pack Warning Labels would provide consumers with easy-to-understand information so we know what products are high in sugar, salt, fat, and added sweetener. Knowing what is in our food could help reduce diseases like type-2 diabetes and high blood pressure, which can lead to stroke or heart disease. We call on Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi and the Department of Health to publish strong warning label regulations as soon as possible.
