#SJW have already attacked #Torvalds and #Stallman, now Django's Roberto Rosario is also a target: http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=6918 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=18686301 Things being as they are, it's difficult to argue that #FOSS and #Hacker community in general is under attack by SJW bullies, same as they go after anyone else who'd dare oppose their corporate overlords in a meaningful way. Of course, Eric Raymond is right, it's important to fight back, and it's essential that any attempt to bring identity politics into any Hacker community (or any community in general that's united by any common goal, not even necessarily creative, it applies just the same to Mario speedrunners or professional pinball players) would be met with unanimous resistance. The problem is, well, SJWs are bullies, and hackers/programmers/gamers/etc are more often than not stereotypical nerds. So faced with an obnoxious bully mob they get very afraid and tend to prefer to shut up, give in and roll over. As such, I'd like to address all such nerds: I know all too well how it's terrifying to resist, but keep in mind that this bully is going to take more than your lunch money. They are going to take away your ability to do what you love together with people that you like. If you don't stand up to them, soon the world will be purged of all the things that bring you enjoyment, it will become a blend and boring dystopia of politically correct buzzwords, inoffensive culture and Orwellian thought policing in every sphere of life. So now it's time to stand up, resist and fight back, or else tomorrow it'll be too late.
