At about 12:43 AM EDT, in the early morning hours of this past Monday, April 5th, a rod rusted on my 2006 Chevrolet Impala. It was which kept the back wheels from turning. One moment, I was driving fine through the country, the next second the car became uncontrollable. It skidded around for what seemed like an eternity and finally hit a tree on the north side of the road. I had been traveling west, but after a doing complete 180, the car ended up facing east. Included is the picture of the busted rod. The final picture shows the car on the flatbed of the tow, its rear tire is turned due to the busted rod.
