Bit-Block – A Belgian anti-spam Bitcoin client Bit-Block is an official fork of Bitcoin Knots (based on the v28/v29 lineage) featuring: Fully rebranded GUI and client identity Strict anti-spam defaults by design (datacarriersize=0 enforced, rejection of non-Bitcoin tokens and asset overlay protocols) Fee subtraction from transaction amounts enabled by default Full customization of settings (as flexible as Bitcoin Knots) Enhanced security (input sanitization against command injection and path traversal) Optional faster Initial Block Download via Libbitcoin-style trusted checkpoint method Support for high-entropy SeedSigner-style dice-roll wallet generation Bit-Block is built for node runners who want strong spam resistance out of the box while retaining complete control. Knots Legacy – Preserving Bitcoin Knots for the legacy chain In recognition of the significant history and utility of Bitcoin Knots (maintained by Luke Dashjr), I have forked the latest non-RDTS version and established Knots Legacy. This project ensures continued maintenance and availability of a robust Knots-based client for users who remain on the original Bitcoin chain (the chain not following any Proof-of-Work transition associated with BIP-110/RDTS). The deliberate naming as “Knots Legacy” respects the original project’s branding and legacy while clearly distinguishing this independent stewardship effort. Co-maintainers familiar with the Bitcoin codebase are warmly welcomed.
