@Halp Jesus trial was nothing but Yom Kippur, and because it is just that, the whole trial, the whole crucifixion, the beatings, the raping and nailing to the cross which by the way, in the original Greek codex the gospels were written in, mentions no cross, only that he was hung and died at the hands of a Roman spear, he let out a loud cry and then died, and said absolutely nothing else.
No resurrection, no bodies rising from the dead and walking through Jerusalem visiting families. Everything else told about Jesus was an embellishment to cater toward a religion.

Because Yom Kippur has two identical lambs or sheep, one is evil, the other a saint, they allow the evil one to be set free by the crowd, as they lead it away to be released, (depicts the same thing in the movie, the greatest story ever told, Jesus the son of the father and Jesus Barabbas, Barabbas = son of the father gets led away by the crowd) and the one deemed a saint to be a sacrifice to their god to redeem them of their sins that whole year. And wouldn't you know it, it's what Christians do every year by reliving and retelling the story and believing a myth of salvation and resurrection. The resurrection is another story.
