@Miradus Respectfully, the 'culture' you were raised in is 'civic nationalism' and that has failed to provide adequate protections for the culture that gave you a sense of order and belonging even though you were not 'pure blood'. Culture can reinforce nature but it cannot replace it. I listen to Jesse Lee Petersen talk about Jim Crow days and how the American Negro flourished under the watchful eye of the White Man and kept the races 'segregated'. However, as Jesse Lee will make clear, as soon as segregation ended, the Nog in the American Negro reasserted itself.
