PREACHING THAT SHOULD BE HEARD EVERYWHERE, BUT IS ALMOST NO WHERE. "7 Here is a sample of John’s preaching to the crowds that came for baptism: “You brood of snakes! You are trying to escape hell without truly turning to God! That is why you want to be baptized! 8 First go and prove by the way you live that you really have repented. And don’t think you are safe because you are descendants of Abraham. That isn’t enough. God can produce children of Abraham from these desert stones! 9 The ax of his judgment is poised over you, ready to sever your roots and cut you down. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.”" Luke 3 This sermon should be preached at thousands of churches, but it won't be because the pastors are complicit in the rebellion against God and Christ. They are more concerned to have bodies in the pews and money in their coffers. They are not concerned with people escaping hell. Thus, they preach false gospels, easy believism, the sinner's prayer, and simple baptism as the means of salvation. There is no conversion, no repentance, no turning from sin and certainly no forgiveness from God for their unrepentant sins! They are "storehouses for hell." God's axe of judgment is coming and millions will be chopped down in America, a nation full of blasphemers, idolaters, false religions, and counterfeit Christianity; who murder their unborn by the millions and forbid their children to pray or read the Bible in school, but support homos and transsexuals and giving out condoms. When God does move in this nation, it won't be within the vast majority of churches that are already apostate or on their way. Those churches, including the evangelicals and Pentecostals, will fight against this mighty move of God even like the communists and liberals and the govt. But who can stop the mighty hand of God? John also preached the same message as Jesus, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is a hand." John understood and taught that the Christ was the Son of God and the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. John never minced words. He was direct, forthright in his preaching. He was unafraid of men, even powerful men like King Herod, rebuking him for taking his brother's wife to be his wife. John took up his cross, willing to suffer for Christ and righteousness and he did, giving his life as a martyr.
