+ Firstborn Of The Unforgiven: The Beaky Marine + • Every squad needs a Beaky-Helmed Super Soldier right?! When creating my Kill Team of Dark Angels I knew that I had to have at least one of these lads. I know the Beaky Armor is a bit overdone these days with the release of the latest edition of the Horus Heresy, but I do like the look of the MK VI armor regardless. I tried to mirror the power armor best I could with the original Rogue Trader Era art (see second picture). • Our featured Beaky, is the squad’s comms officer. To me, you want the mobility of the MK VI armor for your radio-man. Even with the aid of battlefield technology, you still need a marine that can move fast and get to areas with a good signal / line of sight with friendly units, or to “manually” pass messages from one squad to another. I also gave him an extended magazine on his bolter — I beat the game Boltgun while working on this dude, and picking up the mags with special ammunition in-game was always a fun feeling. Maybe he grabbed some nemesis rounds before deployment, or picked up some inferno rounds to take on a heavily armored foe.
