+ Firstborn Of The Unforgiven: The Bannerman + • It’s Friday so I wanted to post something special; everyone meet the Bannerman Brother Bethor! Brother Bethor first appeared in the 3rd edition Dark Angels codex, designed by none other than the man himself Jeff Goodwin. This is probably my favorite model of the 3rd edition Dark Angels. The original sculpt (although rudimentary by today’s modeling standards) is loaded with character — so naturally I had to give him the “Nero update”. • I switched up the pose to make him more triumphant. I kept his necklace and bionic arm (but gave it a plasma pistol....because Dark Angels). I opted out of giving him “full robes” because I do like the bolterjugend(IG) 3D model underneath and wanted to keep that visual interest for some fun pre-weathering. The biggest change I made was to the banner — I know, Heresy of the highest order; my Patreons considered this a criminal act 😂. I honestly didn’t feel like freehanding the original (because I’m lazy) and the Imperial Vexilla was just too cool to pass up.
