Took a ride last Sunday afternoon - campsite scouting west of Cherokee Park Colo - Larimer County Road 80c west of US-287. Out near Eaton Reservoir. The first camp-site possibility was not attractive - tall, dead trees around - blowdown (onto your tent and kill-ya trees). Picture view is looking north. Wyoming state line is about four miles out. Near the visible horizon is I-80 as well as the Transcontinental Railway. Behind the trees to the right of the jeep would be Laramie WY - not visible in the daytime but night lights could make it discernible to the naked eye. A surprise was a cabin. The walls were in very good condition. Sadly the roof is giving way (and if not repaired, the full cabin will be lost). The picturesque rock, Chimney Rock, is in Colorado - just barely - a couple hundred yards south of the WY border.
