HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- James Cichon, a carjacking victim, shared how his quick thinking helped him escape an armed carjacker, identified as 18-year-old DeShawn Johnson. Cichon was carjacked at gunpoint in the Rice Military neighborhood after dog walking. He managed to call 911 while pretending to assist Johnson with directions, keeping his phone's volume off. As he provided directions, police were alerted and got a description of the vehicle. However, Johnson eventually discovered he was betrayed, prompting a high-speed chase. "We were doing probably 50 - 60 miles per hour going the wrong direction down a one-way street," Cichon recalled. The pursuit ended in a crash on Washington Avenue, leading to Johnson's arrest. #Carjacking #PoliceChase #TrueCrime #CrimeReport #Safety #highspeedchase #lawenforcement #crimevictim #dogwalker #safetyfirst #emergency #crime #police #chuckpointwalker https://abc13.com/post/13-carjacking-victim-says-he-was-call-911-being-trapped-car-suspect-asked-directions/19568579/
