My name is Oatmeal Joey Arnold, born 1985 in Oregon USA, and my mother is Marilyn Kathleen Morehead born 1951 in Seattle, WA. This is my first post in this new log with her original name, her maiden surname being Morehead. So, a moment ago, mom was telling me she stopped believing in the Easter Bunny when she was eight years old (1959 in Oregon) at the youngest or it might have been after that when she realized the bunny couldn't open the door. Why? Because the door was locked I guess. On Easter Sunday, probably each year, they would look for the Easter Eggs inside the house. Her mom, Irene Dwana Pickett, would probably be the one hiding the eggs. Mom would sometimes get up in the middle of the night to look for the eggs so she could have a head start in the morning during the Easter Egg Hunt Contest thing people have. Mom commented that must be where Katie, my older sister, got it from. Katie would open up Christmas presents in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve to see what people got or at least what she got. She would then wrap the presents back up just in time for Christmas Day.
