Reagan is overrated, in my opinion. Carter is the one dropped the ball on Iran, at the very beginning. Reagan is the one who should have ended that, nipped the theocracy in the bud. He didn't, and it's for that reason. 1983, embassy in Beirut, marine compound in Beirut, embassy in Kuwait City. 1984, 1985, 1989, 1995, 1996, 1997, ... unceasing attacks ever since.
