The Russian Action In Ukraine Is An Intervention, And Brings To Mind The Alamo TWO THINGS HAVE BEEN CONSISTENTLY OMITTED from reporting in the West on the Russian Special Military Operation (SMO) which began in February, closely preceded by Russia's formal recognition of the Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk. Both are highly dangerous to the Manichean propaganda flood with which the West has been steadily inundated for the last six weeks. The first omitted fact is that both of these former provinces of Ukraine had seceded in the face of a relentless, murderous offensive against their populations by the usurping "government" in Kiev after the US-engineered coup in 2014 which overthrew the legitimately-elected government of Viktor Yanukovych-- an aggression which had continued for eight long years.
