So, Next Tuesday Is Election Day... ...and few election days have ever been as important as this one. NEXT TUESDAY IS NOT so important because Republicans can take control of Congress. Republicans have controlled the entirety of the federal government many times and have done precious little-- if anything-- worthwhile or virtuous. Rather, next Tuesday is so important because it is the opportunity for the American people to strip power from the Democrats who have been deliberately destroying this great country and waging steady war against Western Civilization as a whole, to boot. Necessarily, rescuing America from Democrat sociopaths eating away at her substance under pretended existential threats such as "climate change", "pandemics" and "domestic terrorism" means electing Republicans. In the case of many candidates from that party, this means voting for some pretty odious characters. After all, Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy are nominal Republicans, and as bad as they both are, each has been found pleasing by so many of their Republican colleagues in office as to have been granted positions of leadership. I can think of few more powerful indicators that the Republican party is hardly that of the angels. Heck, Lindsey Graham is a Republican. Mitt Romney is a Republican. John McCain was a Republican, along with Dick Cheney, John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Nikki Haley, and so on and on. BUT... we've all got to vote Republican. As much as it pains me to say it, voting third party this time around would be madness. Nothing must come before the imperative of halting the rapid erosion of our hard-won speech rights, property rights, and painstakingly-constructed liberty-and-prosperity-nurturing cultural norms by the gibbering nihilists chewing on all of it right now in a frothy fury. I am a life-long Libertarian, and I have friends running for office this year under that party's mantle. None of them will get my vote this time around. None should get your votes. This time around, everyone must hold their noses and vote so as to successfully evict the Democrat lunatics from every office possible. As it happens, there is an unusually large cadre of actually-worthwhile Republicans on the ballot this year, so things are not as bad as they could be. But even the crappy ones need to be supported-- this one time-- where they are the only alternative to Democrats. Continued: https://losthorizons.com/N/216.htm#1
