But now, He charges all people everywhere to repent (to change their minds for the better and heartily,,, to amend their ways,,, with abhorrence of their past sins)!" ~Acts 17:30(ampc) For a very long time, people working farms, agricultural societies, being stretched sunrise to sunset, with outside chores, didn't bother learning to read! Our cherished, sweet, essential, Written Word, for a very long time was trapped in Latin, not available to the average person, that even could read! "But I say, Have they not heard? Yes! Verily, their sound went into all the Earth, and their words unto the ends of the world!" ~Romans 10:18 Now, ignorance isn't so simple, it's willful! Since 1382, 640+ years we've been having The Scripture, in our very own language! The Word Of GOD, accessible constantly, with leisure time thrown in! "So that they are without excuse! Because that, when they knew GOD, they glorified Him not as GOD!" ~Romans 1:20b-21a At some point, we're going to have to answer to our putting GOD into a lesser priority!
