Issues range from sudden engine seizures and unrecoverable loss of drive power to total electronic failures across major automotive brands. Major vehicle lines impacted by these failures include: Toyota Tundra & Lexus: The twin-turbocharged V6 engine has suffered severe internal failures (rod bearing issues and large metallic debris contaminating oil). This spans the 2022–2025 models and affects the Sequoia, Lexus GX, and Lexus LX. Nissan Rogue: Nissan issued massive recalls affecting over 650,000 vehicles due to the variable-compression engine failing and seizing in high temperatures. General Motors (6.2L V8): Widespread reports of catastrophic 6.2L engine failures—some completely seizing at under 3,000 miles. Other models like the GMC Acadia, Chevy Traverse, and Cadillac XT5 lost Consumer Reports recommendations due to recurring transmission and electronic faults.
