I wept yesterday—not merely for the life of Charlie Kirk, so callously cut short; nor solely for the family senselessly deprived of a husband and father—but for a nation that has largely departed from truth, freedom, and civility, all characteristics that Charlie exemplified. He was a righteous man who boldly and unashamedly proclaimed his faith and the truth, undeterred by the fear of men or what they might do to him. He feared God alone. He embodied Matthew 10:26-28, and for it, he was made a martyr. May God rest his soul!
